Jogging Is Great For Your Fitness

Physical activity has become more and more a part of a healthy lifestyle. Exercise regimes vary, but one important component is aerobic activities. Aerobic activities are beneficial for weight loss and cardiovascular health. There are a variety of aerobic activities from which to choose, one of the more popular activities is jogging

What makes jogging such a popular aerobic exercise? The benefits of jogging make it worth the time and effort that it takes to jog. Benefits of jogging include weight loss, feeling a sense of well being and happiness, and weight control. One of the benefits of jogging is that, like other aerobic activities, it releases the body's natural endorphins which contribute to a sense of happiness and well being.

Jogging not only gets you physically fit, develops flexibility and endurance, but it also helps you feel better. You are left feeling So other than the benefits of jogging with your body getting physically revved up and developing flexibility and endurance, you'd feel "happy", too. That is, feeling a sense of cheerful and optimistic. This feeling can be addicting, but it is a healthy addiction. You may not experience the endorphin release at first, but hang in there with your exercise routine. In a short time, you will feel the benefits of jogging and begin to enjoy the exercise.

Jogging benefits you in another way in that it speeds up your metabolism, allowing your body to burn more fat. This helps in keep your body fit and trim. It is only the beginning to a healthier and more fit lifestyle. If you don't have excess weight to lose, but wish to maintain your weight and cardio fitness, jogging is still a great aerobic exercise for you. Jogging always help keep excess weight at bay.

Having been a jogger in the past doesn't mean that you can't gain weight in the future. You must continue jogging. In order to stick with jogging it is a good idea to jog with a buddy. If you prefer to jog alone, pick a time and schedule and stick to it. You can then use this time to clear your head and reduce stress. Set a goal for your jogging and reach for it. Once you do, you will feel a sense of achievement and self-esteem.

Plan on jogging a half-marathon or marathon. Set a goal and work toward it. Once you cross the finish line you will be so proud of yourself and the effort you have put in to jogging. It will be a major boost to your self-esteem. If that is too big of a goal for you, then set a weight loss goal. Once you reach that goal by jogging watch your self-esteem soar!
